Curie Point Pyrolysis for GC/FTIR- and GC/MS-Applications
The pyrolysis enables nonvolatile substances to be analysed gaschromatographically.
On the thermal fragmentation, plastics, colours lacquers and other
polymeric substances give characteristic pyrolysis products. The
analysis is both qualitative and quantitative.
The combination of the gas-chromatograph with the mass- or
IR-spectrograph offers an excellent opportunity to optimize the method
of gas-chromatography. This combination is especially interesting for
research purposes, that means for studying of polymeric mechanisms and
similar problems.
The optimal instrument for use in connection with gaschromatographs
and/or mass spectrometers is our Curie Point pyrolyser CPP featuring:
Characteristics
- exactly reproducible temperature of pyrolysis
- "shock"-heating-up within milliseconds
- wide temperature range by means of ferromagnetic filaments from 160 – 1040° C
- filaments available in form of straight wires, spirals or tubes
- to be used with any gas-chromatgraph
